Luftwaffe Officers Sword

Description

Scarce original Luftwaffe Officers Sword (Schwert für Offiziere), also called 'Fliegerschwert'. The swords is having all early nickel-silver fittings and brass coloured sunwheel Swastikas. The sword has an in leather wripped grip with the correct diagonally silver/aluminum wire wrap. The blade is nicely marked with 'SMF' indicating production by the 'Solinger Metallwaffenfabrik Stöcker & Co' from Solingen, the blade is marked with a Luftwaffe acceptance marking. The blade is in perfect condition. The leather scabberd is having nickel-silver fittings and is complete with it's original crescent hanger. This crescent hanger is in very good condition and is quipped with a matching nickel-silver closed box clip. The sword shows some normal traces of usage. The sword is in overall good condition and has a nice age patina, see photos. Scarce original early Luftwaffe sword in very good condition!
