Waffen-SS M42 Single Decal Combat Helmet (Stahlhelm M42) - 'EF66' helmet, the helmet is complete with its original slightly damaged liner and chinstrap. This is an original untouched US Veteran bringback souvernir helmet from WW2. Scarce original SS helmet in good used condition!

Description

Waffen-SS M42 Single Decal Combat Helmet (Stahlhelm M42). The steel construction M42 helmet retains most of its rough textured, field-grey paint and about 95% of its original SSdecal. All three liner retaining rivets are intact. The interior of the helmet is a M31 leather liner, the liner is in heavily used and regrettably damaged condition, there are some blood stains on the leather. A soldier's name is written in the liner. The shell is marked with maker and size 'EF66'. 'EF' is indicating production by the 'Emaillerwerke AG' in Fulda. The reverse interior neck guard apron has a stamped serial number '3589'. The helmet is complete with its original slightly damaged and repaired chinstrap, see photos. This is a 100% untouched original helmet, the helmet was brought back as a souvernir from World War 2 by US Army Corporal Charles Vitt, 3rd Army 411th Anti-Aircraft. Scarce original helmet in good used condition!
