WW2 Iron Cross 1st Class - 'Juncker'

Description

Iron Cross first class (Eiserne Kreuz 1. Klasse). On 1 September 1939 Hitler reinstituted the Iron Cross (First time in 1813). The first class medal was for award to personnel who performed three to five acts of bravery in combat, and had already been awarded the Iron Cross second class. The cross has a three piece construction. The cross is not visible maker marked but can very likely be attributed to the company of 'C.E. Juncker' in Berlin, the cross is having the typical core and crosshatch structure on the frame. The cross is having a fully functional pin and catch, the cross is having a nice dark age patina. Nice example in good used condition!
