World War 1 Iron Cross 2nd class (Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse). Re-instituted by King Wilhelm II on 5 August 1914 for award during WWI. The second class medal was for award to personnel who performed a single act of bravery in combat. The cross has a three piece construction and has a magnetic core. The cross is maker marked with 'K.A.G.' indicating prodcution by an unknown manufacturer. The cross comes on its original confectioned 'Austrian-styled' ribbon as found. Nice original WW1 Iron Cross 2nd Class in good used condition!
