The Infantry Assault Badge in silver was introduced on 20 December 1939 by Generaloberst 'Walther von Brauchitsch', for award to all ranks of non-motorized, Infantry and Mountain Infantry units who participated in three different assaults on three different days. Hollow nickel silver construction badge, the badge is having a nice age patina. The pin and catch are complete and functional. The badge is not visible maker marked but can be attributed to the company of 'C.E. Juncker' from Berlin. Nice original early war badge in very good condition!
