Iron Cross 2nd Class (Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse) with ribbon. On 1 September 1939 Hitler reinstituted the Iron Cross (First time in 1813). The 2nd class cross was for award to personnel who performed a single act of bravery in combat. The cross has a three piece construction and the cross does still have the neat so-called: 'Hochpolierte Kanten' and just shows some minor wear and great detail overall, there is some patina to the frame. The cross comes with its original 28cms long sized ribbon as found. The cross is nicely maker marked with number '100' indicating production by the company of 'Wächtler & Lange' from Mittweida.
