Antisemitic 'Der Stürmer' Newspaper - Special Edition Austria
Description
Antisemitic 'Der Stürmer' Newspaper (Zeitung), founded by Julius Streicher, issue for July 1938 called 'Der Jude in Oesterreich' (The Jew in Austria). Der Stürmer was a weekly German tabloid-format newspaper published from 1923 to the end of World War II by Julius Streicher, the Gauleiter of Franconia. It was a significant part of Nazi propaganda, and was virulently anti-Semitic. In July 1938, the antisemitic publisher Julius Streicher released a special edition of 'Der Stürmer'. This issue was filled with racist stereotypes and conspiracy theories about Jews in Vienna and the rest of Austria. It was specifically distributed after the Anschluss of Austria to Nazi Germany as part of an aggressive smear campaign to dehumanize the Jewish population.. The newspaper is showing typical age-yellowing and some small tape repairs but is in overall good condition, see photos. Interesting original newspaper.
