Dutch 'Buitenmodel' Tunic Grouping
This is a nice original so-called 'Buitenmodel' tunic grouping as intended for a Sergeant within the Infantry. The grouping is consisting of his tunic and matching pair of breeches as found together. The 'buitenmodel' tunic is a privately purchased tunic in field green-grey woolen cloth. The tunic is having the blue branch-colour piping which indicates Infantry. The tunic has the so-called 'Bananenschillen' on the sleeves which indicates the rank of 'Sergeant'. The tunic comes with a colour matching blue piped pair of breeches. Both the jacket and pants are complete with labels from the tailor 'P. van den Brul' and the labels are named to Sergeant 'H.J. de Lanoy Meyer' and dated October 1939. Both the tunic and pants are showing normal traces of usage and some minor moth damages, see photos for details. Nice original Dutch 'Buitenmodel' tunic!
