Bulgarian Armoured Troops Field Cap

Description

Bulgarian Armoured Troops Field Cap worn only by the soldiers and officers from the Armored Brigade and the motorised infantry. Brown wool construction cap similar to the German M43 cap. The cap features fold down side and back panels with two, molded brown bakelite, closure buttons. The back and side panels were designed to be folded down to protect the wearer's ears and neck and the scalloped front section could be secured with the buttons closed under the wearer's chin. The buttons have an embossed design to the front consisting of a flaming bomb above crossed cannons. The cap is complete with Bulgarian Lion cap-badge. The light brown rayon lining is well marked with three purple ink stamped rectangles with numbers in them and has a leather sweat-band stitched around the edge. The sweatband is in good condition. The cap is in very good condition!
