'Reichsbahn' (DRB) Honor Plaque (Plakette) given to a DRB employee named 'Otto Vorpahl' for his 40th anniversary as a Technical National Railway Inspector (Techn.Reichsbahninspektor) on 2 October 1939. 'Deutsche Reichsbahn' was the name of the German national railway, from 1937 it was organized as the DRB. The heavy quality plaque is made of a non-magnetic metal showing a gold finish, the plaque is having a diameter of 20,5cms. The plaque is originally mounted in a large sized wooden frame which measures approximately 37,5 x 37,5 cms. The frame is a little fragile. This item was recently found in a house-cleaning.
