WH (Heer) Award-Document Grouping from Oberfähnrich 'Walter Spiegelberg', he was a member within the '6./G.R. 333' (6. Grenadier-Regiment 333). The grouping is consisting of 4 Award-Documents (Urkunden), each at (DIN) A5 size. Walter was awarded with the War Merit Cross 2nd Class with Swords (Kriegsverdienst Kreuz 2. Klasse mit Schwertern) on 28 March 1941. This is a rare and decorative variant of the War Merit Cross award document and is was personally signed by Generalmajor and Divisionskommandeur 'Friedrich-Karl' von Wachter. On 22 July 1943 Walter was awarded with the German Eastern Front Medal (Medaille für die Winterschlacht im Osten). On 17 July 1944, Walter was awarded with the Iron Cross 2nd Class (Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse), this document was personally signed by Generalleutnant u. Divisionskommandeur 'Walther Riße', he was a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oakleaves and the German Cross in Gold. On 31 July 1944, Walter was awarded with the Iron Cross 1st Class (Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse). This document was also personally signed by  Walther Risse. During the period Walter was awarded with both Iron Crosses his Regiment saw heavy action in the 'Kurland' Pocket. All documents have been folded, see photos.
