Wehrmacht M37 Mountain Trooper's Ankle Boots (Bergschuhe für Gebirgsjäger). Due to the nature of the terrain and the commonly colder climate that the Mountain Divisions were expected to serve in, special clothing, equipment and footwear was developed specifically for their use. This is a pair of Mountain Trooper's ankle boots, made of light-brown leather. The boots are complete with original field-grey wool at the shafts. The boots are complete with period leather laces, one of the brass eyelets is slighlty damaged. The boots are complete with original hobnails and iron parts, the soles are size '26½' marked. The boots are nicely 'RB.Nr. 0/0764/0020' marked. The boots are most likely in unissued condition only showing traces of years of storage. This pair would be perfect for a Mountain Trooper's display. Nice original pair of late war Gebirgsjäger boots in very good condition!
