'Junkersstraße' Enamel Sign from Dessau (Emailleschild). Junkers Flugzeug- und Motorenwerke AG (JFM), headquartered in Dessau, was formed in 1936 during the Nazi era from the merger of Junkers-Motorenbau GmbH and Junkers-Flugzeugwerk AG. They manufactured a wide range of engine and aircraft types, making them one of the most important armaments companies in the German Reich before and during World War II. This enamel street sign originates from Dessau from the street in front of the Junkers Airplane Factory. The heavy quality enamel is showing some normal traces of usage, the sign is not visible maker marked. The sign is measuring approximately 70 x 15 cms and is mounted on a wooden plate.
