This is a nice porcelain Souvernir Olympic Bell Coin Bank or Money Box of the Olympic Games, held in 1936 in Germany. The 1936 Olympic Games were held in Berlin, Hitler saw the Games as an opportunity to promote his government and ideals of racial supremacy. The bell is made of glazed porcelain with relief eagle over Olympic circles and Brandenburg Tor designs. Raised border script reads: '11.Olympische Spiele Berlin, 1-16 August 1936'. The bottom of the bell is nicely maker marked in green with 'Erzeugnis der Porzellanstadt Selb, Bayer.Ostmark'. It is approximately 10cms high and having a diameter of 10cms. The metal insert container is present but missing its key. Decorative original piece!
