Etched WH (Heer) K98 Dress Bayonet (Extraseitengewehr). The bayonet is etched with "Zur Erinnerung an meine Dienstzeit". The bayonet is maker marked by 'F.W. Höller' from Solingen. unfortunately having a broken/missing pommel. Priced accordingly!

Description

Etched WH (Heer) K98 Dress Bayonet (Extraseitengewehr). This is a private purchase version of the S84/98 bayonet for dress wear. The bayonet was, accompanied by a bayonet frog, to be worn on the reverse left side of the load carrying waist belt. The bayonet is nicely maker marked by the company 'F.W. Höller' from Solingen. The bayonet is nicely etched with "Zur Erinnerung an meine Dienstzeit", the etch is showing army (Heer) style eagles. The blade is in good condition. The bayonet is having staghorn grips, unfortunately the bayonet is in damaged condition having a broken/missing pommel, see photos. The bayonet comes without scabberd. Rare original etched bayonet in damaged condition for a fair price!
