'Reichskolonialbund' hand carved wooden statue
'Reichskolonialbund' (RKB) hand carved wooden statue. The Reich Colonial League (Reichskolonialbund) was a collective body that absorbed all German colonial organizations during the time of the Third Reich. It was led by 'Franz Ritter von Epp', the purpose of the Reichskolonialbund was to reclaim the overseas colonies that Germany had lost as a result of the Treaty of Versailles at the end of World War I. The RKB was active between 1936 and 1943. The approximately 40 cms high statue is showing a German 'Reichskolonialbund' Member in his colonial uniform with matching Südwester hat and sword. It looks like it once had 4 cacti but only one is still present. The wooden statue is carefully painted. The highly detailed statue will look great in any collection room!
