Description
World War 2 French Army 'Modèle 1935' enlisted men's shirt. The shirt, featuring two breast pockets with buttoned flaps, was the standard shirt in most branches of service in 1939-1940. The shirt is constructed of olive-brown coloured cotton, complete with all original glass type buttons at the front closure and cuffs. There are some markings in the neck. After the occupation of France these shirts were widely reissued by the German Army as tropical shirts and issued to DAK (Deutsches Afrikakorps) personnel for the North African campaign. The buttons from the sleeves are missing. Otherwise in good condition, see photos. Hard to find original shirt in good used condition, perfect to complete your mannequin with!
