Description

 Infantry Assault Badge in Silver (Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Silber). The Infantry Assault Badge in silver was introduced on 20 December 1939 by Generaloberst 'Walther von Brauchitsch', for award to all ranks of non-motorized, Infantry and Mountain Infantry units who participated in three different assaults on three different days. The badge is executed in zinc and still retains most of its original silver finish. The pin and catch are complete and functional showing the typical crimped hinge. The badge is maker marked with 'FLL' indicating production by the company of 'Friedrich Linden' from Lüdenscheid. Nice original badge in very good condition!
