Russian / Soviet Cavalry Service Dress or 'Kitel'. The Kittel was a service dress tunic adopted in 1943. It was closed by five buttons, had a standing collar and shoulder boards. The Kittel had piping in the arms of service colour. This tunic is piped in darkblue as intended for Cavalry personnel. The tunic is showing normal traces of usage and some small damages and some staining, see photos. The tunic is complete with a pair of slip-on shoulder-boards intended for a Major, this is a field dress pair of shoulder boards normally intended for an Infantry Major. They were found together with this tunic. The tunic is fully lined, the tunic is not visible maker marked or dated but looks all period correct. Nice original Russian Officers Tunic in good used condition!
