Waffen-SS M42 Camouflage Smock (Tarnjacke). This is an M42 type 2 smock having the diagonally placed lower pockets. This is a very late war example having a center-seam. The smock is showing a printed, reversible, Oakleaf 'A' (Eichenlaubmuster A) camouflage pattern camouflage. The camouflage pattern has distinctly different colorations to the summer and autumn sides and is constructed of different shades of camouflage material. The smock was closed by a cloth closure tie string, the rare and hard to find original green coloured tie string is present. The elastic elastic around the waistline is in good condition, the tunnel looped elastics at one of the cuffs is lost his elasticity. The reversible pocket bags are constructed in standard fieldgrey HBT cotton. The sleeves have open vented armpits. Most fooliage loops are present. The smock has no visible manufacturer’s or size markings. The smock is showing some minor traces of usage, there are some small damages/repairs. The smocks were designed large enough to fit over the standard field uniform, so it will fit a mannequin easily. Hard to find original late war Waffen-SS Camouflage Smock. This smock will make a stunning Waffen-SS combat display!
