"Landwacht"Auxiliary Police Badge (Polizei Dienstabzeichen "Landwacht"). The Landwacht was a civilian auxiliary police who supported the work of the gendarmerie in rural areas and was subordinate to it. Usually it was identified by armbands or by these badges, which were worn attached to the clothing of the auxiliary police member. The zinc construction badge still retains most of its original silver finish. The badge is complete with its original soldered on safety-needle. Nice original badge in very good condition!
