'Ehrenkreuz für Frontkämpfer'

Description

Hindenburg Cross 1914-18 (Ehrenkreuz für Frontkämpfer). The Cross was instituted in three forms on 13 july 1934 as a service medal for soldiers who participated in world war one. It was also the first decoration created by the Third Reich. The Hindenburg Cross comes with its original 10cms long sized ribbon as found. The magnetic cross is maker marked 'O.2'. The cross has been period mounted on a so-called 'Einzelspange'. It comes with its functional pin/catch attachment for mounting it on a tunic. Nice originial example in good used condition!
