British MK II Italian/African Campaign Brodie Helmet. The helmet is constructed of non-magnetic steel, this is a typical South African produced helmet having 3 small holes in the shell for attaching a neckflap. The markings are not visible anymore. The shows a tropical tan coloured paint but is in heavily rusted condition, see close up photos. The helmet is having an original camouflage net applied as found and was never removed. The helmet is complete with its original liner and early type khaki chinstrap. This helmet was most likely issued to British soldiers during the African campaign and continued service in the Italian campaign where this helmet was left behind and found. The helmet is in uncleaned condition as found giving it a great look, a real piece of history which would make a great display in a showcase or on a mannequin.
