German Female Signal Auxiliaries Grouping
Female Signal Auxiliaries Cufftitle and Officer's Brooch (Nachrichtenhelferin des Heeres). The Female Signals Auxiliary Corps (Nachrichtenhelferinnen des Heeres) were organized in a military system and were tasked with all aspects of communications within the occupied countries and in certain military communications centers within Germany that required special security that was unsuitable for civilian personnel. Personnel serving with the Female Signals Auxiliary Corps were outfitted with uniforms and insignia, including the cufftitle marked with 'NH des Heeres' (Nachrichtenhelferin des Heeres), the cuffitle was to be worn on the lower left sleeve of the uniform. The cufftitle is woven in the so-called BeVo weave pattern in golden/yellow rayon showing the machine woven, Gothic, script: 'NH des Heeres'. The cufftile is nicley maker marked with 'Bevo-Wuppertal' at one end, the cufftitle is in full-length condition and measures approximately 36cms in length. The brooch is a female signals auxiliary officer's brooch (Dienstnadel der Nachrichtenhelferinnen-Führerinnen). This is a nice black coloured, enamelled, brooch showing a yellow lightning blitz. The brooch is in very good condition, showing only minimal traces of usage. The brooch is not visible maker marked, it comes on its original and functional pin/catch construction. The set is including two to me unknown rank insignia as found together. Scarce original grouping!
