Rare original Kriegsmarine 'Vorpostenflottille Abschnitt Kanal' cap badge (Schiffchenabzeichen). This cap-badge was worn by members of the '18. Vorpostenflottille'. The Flottille was formed on 3 October 1940 and was mainly active in the Channel. After the Allied invasion of France, the Flottille was moved to southern Norway. The cap-badge is enamelled, there is some small damage in the corners. The badge is sized 5,3 x 4,1 cms. Scarce original cap-badge in very good condition!
