Reichspost Winter Tunic - 'Winterjoppe'
WW2 German 'Reichspost' (German Postal service) Winter Tunic (Winterjoppe). The dark-blue woolen construction tunic is fully lined with heavy dark-grey woolen lining material. The tunic features five front-closure buttons on the right front panel and the corresponding, hidden, button holes on the left front panel. The tunic has two metal closure hooks and eyes at the neckline. An original Reichspost arm-eagle is originally machine-sewn on the wearer's left sleeve. The tunic is nicely marked with 'Bekleidungsstelle Dresden' and dated 1942, the tunic is also complete with its original carton manufacturer's label of the company of 'Roger Kauert K.G.' in Dresden. The label is named and marked with the sizes. These tunics are incredibly hard to find, this is the first original tunic I came across. Scarce original tunic in very good unissued condition!
