Waffen-SS M40 Single Decal Combat Helmet (Stahlhelm M40). The steel construction M40 helmet retains most of its rough textured, field-grey paint and about 98% of the decal. All three liner retaining rivets are intact. The interior of the helmet is a M31 leather liner with all eight fingers intact and the original liner cord is present, liner in size '54'. The shell is marked with maker and size 'ET62'. 'ET' is indicating production by the 'Eisen-und Hüttenwerke, AG' in Thale/Harz. The reverse interior neck guard apron has a stamped serial number '1347'. Complete with nice brown coloured chinstrap. Rare original helmet in stunning near mint condition!
