Wehrmacht reissued Dutch Helmet
Wehrmacht reissued Dutch KNIL Combat Helmet (Stahlhelm Holländisch). These helmets have been produced by the Dutch 'Verblifa' company from 1943 on, these were issued to Romanion troops and late in the war to Wehrmacht troops and 'Schutzmannschaften'. The stamped sheet steel construction KNIL helmet retains most of its rough textured, field-grey overpaint, you can clearly see the original Dutch green paint beneath the overpaint. All liner retaining rivets are intact. The interior of the helmet has a standard Wehrmacht M31 leather liner, size '56' marked, the liner-ring is maker marked by 'B&C' from Litzmannstadt and dated 1943. There are some normal damages and scratches caused by usage. Only a few of these helmets are known. Very rare original piece in stunning condition!
