'Iron Cross 2nd Class' Award Document

Description

This is an award document for the Iron Cross 2nd Class (Eiserne Kreuz 2. Klasse). On 1 September 1939 Hitler reinstituted the Iron Cross (First time in 1813). The second class medal was for award to personnel who performed a single act of bravery in combat. This award document was awarded to Unteroffizier 'Felix Ney' on 10 January 1945. Felix was a member within the 2./Pz.Gren.Rgt.126 (2. Panzer Grenadier Regiment 126) and was stationed in Hungary. The DIN-A5 sized award document is personally signed by Generalmajor u. Kommandeur des 23. Panzer-Division 'Joseph von Radowitz', a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oakleaves. This award document is in used condition with wrinkles and two small tears, and it has been folded and perforated, see scans. Interesting original award document!
