Set of 2 Award Documents
These are two award documents (Urkunden), each at DIN A4 size, from (Ober)telegrapheninspektor 'Arthur Arns'. On 16 December 1939, when Arthur was Telegrapheninspektor in Wuppertal-Elberfeld, he was awarded with the Twentyfive Years Faithful Service Medal Award Document (Silberne Treudienst-Ehrenzeichen Urkunde). Hitler instituted the Faithful Service Decoration, in three classes on 30 January 1938. This was in recognition of long serving civil servants, and public works personnel. This award document is in good condition but has regrettably been folded once. The document has a beautiful small-sized embossed logo and shows the facsimile signature of 'Otto Meissner'. This document comes with a letter, addressed to Mr. Arns and is dated 21 February 1940. It states that he receives the Faithful Service Medal 2nd Class (Treudienst-Ehrenzeichen 2. Stufe) and the award document (Besitzurkunde). On 30 January 1944, when Arthur was Obertelegrapheninspektor in Düsseldorf, he was awarded with the War Merit Cross 2nd Class (Kriegsverdienst Kreuz 2. Klasse). This award document is also in good condition. The document shows the facsimile signatures of Adolf Hitler and Otto Meissner and there's a beautiful large-sized embossed logo in the paper. All documents have been perforated, see scans. Nice large-sized examples in good condition!
