This is a War Merit Medal Award Document (Kriegsverdienstmedaille Urkunde). The War Merit Medal was instituted on 19 August 1940 for award to German nationals and foreign civilians who provided exceptional service to the war effort. This award document was awarded to dem Schreinermeister 'Stefan Werner' from Münnerstadt on 1 September 1944. The DIN-A4 sized award document has regrettably been folded but is still in good condition, see scans. The document has a beautiful small-sized embossed logo and shows the facsimile signature of Otto Meissner.
