WH 'Nebelwerfer' Award-Document Grouping

Description

WH (Heer) Award-Document Grouping from Gefreiten 'Alfred Trübestein', he was a member within the 'Stab/N-Z.,I./Nbl.Wf.Rgt.54(Nebelwerfer-Regiment 54). The grouping is consisting of his Wehrpaß and 2 of his Award-Documents (Urkunden) and one Award-Document of his Brother 'Karl Trübestein', all in (DIN) A5 size. Also included are some 'Feldpost' and captivity letters which came from the same house-cleaning but as far as I can see not related to Alfred or Karl Trübestein. Alfred came into active military service on 18 May 1940. He served in the '4. Batterie Nebel Ers. Abt.8', from 6 April 1941 he served within the 'Stab/N-Z.,I./Nbl.Wf.Rgt.54'. He was was awarded with the Iron Cross 2nd Class on 13 July 1941 (this award-document is regrettably not present). He was wounded in action on 23 January 1942 and was awarded with the Wound Badge in Black on 19 February 1942. Alfred was wounded in action and died in a field-hospital in Litzmannstadt on 6 February 1942. He was posthumously awarded with the Ostmedal. The Ostmedal and Award-Document were sent to his father 'Adam Trübestein' on 4 February 1944. The Iron Cross 2nd Class Award-Document is dated 20 May 1940 and was awarded to his brother 'Unteroffizier Karl Trübestein', who was a member within the Artillerie-Regiment 216. This grouping was found in a house-cleaning in Germany and not part of a collection before. Interesting original grouping which certainly merits further invetigation!
