Cased Bulgarian Royal Military Merit Order 6th class with crown
Cased Bulgarian Royal Military Merit Order 6th class with crown (Bulgarien Militärverdienstorden am Kriegsband VI. Klasse mit Krone). This medal was instituted on 18 May 1900 by King Ferdinand I and could be awarded to all soldiers of the Bulgarian armed forces without distinction of rank for military merit and for bravery against the enemy. A presentation to foreigners was also allowed. This example has been awarded to Wehrmacht Hauptfeldwebel 'Helmuth Ußling' who was a member within the 'Inf.Ers.Batl.124'. The medal is complete with crown and comes on its original triangular ribbon, stored in it's original red coloured case of issue. The case is in good condition with some normal usage to the corners. The set comes together with an accompanying letter informing the recipient about the distinction. Included is also his 5-piece ribbon-bar, regrettably missing the catch. It's very rare to find these decorations awarded to German soldiers with provenance. Rare and hard to find set in good condition!
