DRK Officer's Visor Cap
This is a nice original German Red Cross Officer's Visor Cap (Schirmmütze). In December 1937 the DRK (Deutsches Rotes Kreuz) gained status as a legally recognized organization by the NSDAP. As with other essential services in Third Reich Germany, it came under control of the NSDAP. The grey woolen visor cap is piped in the light-grey 'Truppenfarbe' (branch-colour) for DRK personnel. The leather sweatband is in very good condition, the interior of the cap is fully lined in a orange oilcloth, where a celluloid sweat diamond (in good condition) is sewn, it is size 58 marked. The cap is complete with it's original 1st pattern enamelled DRK cap eagle, an aluminum DRK wreath with cockade, and a silver-cord officer's chinstrap in good condition. The cap-eagle is showing some scratches and wear. There are a few tiny moth nips to the back, hardly visible. Overall a great DRK Officer's visor cap in top condition!
