This is a nice World War 1 5-Piece Medal Bar (Ordenspange). This was originally a 4-piece 1870 Prussian War/WW1 medal bar consisting of a WW1 Merit Cross for War Aid (Verdienstkreuz für Kriegshilfe), a Prussian Centenarmedaille 1897, a Baden Government Jubilee Medal (Regierungs-Jubiläums-Medaille 1902) and a Baden Long Service Medal 2nd Class For 12 Years (Dienstauszeichnung II. Klasse für 12 Jahre) as instituted on 18 December 1913 by Grand Duke Friedrich II (1913-1918 issue). A Forty Years Faithful Service Medal (Treudienst Ehrenzeichen 1. Stufe, 40 Jahre) has been added to the medal-bar during the Third Reich period. All medals are in very good condition. The medals are nicely mounted on a medal-bar for wear on the 'walking-out' tunic. The medal-bar comes on its functional pin/catch set-up. Rare original medal-bar in very good condition!
