Luftwaffe General's Visor Cap
Luftwaffe General's Visor Cap (Schirmmütze für Generale). Visor caps were a standard item for all armed forces personnel during the Third Reich period. Although enlisted personnel were issued their caps from government supplies they were also permitted to purchase privately tailored caps. This is privately purchased General's type visor cap, the sweat-diamond is nicely maker marked by the famous 'Erel' Company from Berlin, the sweat-diamond is nicely marked with 'Verkaufs-Abteilung der Luftwaffe'. The leather sweatband is in good used and supple condition, the sweatband is nicely marked by 'Erel' as well. The cap is complete with its original hand-embroidered general's type cap-eagle and a general's type hand-embroidered typical Erel ventilated cocarde, both nicely hand-sewn to the cap. The cap is in very good, although truly worn condition showing clear traces of usage, see photos. The cap is having a nice shape and stunning look.
