Waffen-SS M35 Double Decal Combat Helmet (Stahlhelm M35). The steel construction M35 helmet retains most of its rough textured, field-grey paint. The SS decal is retained for about 90% and the party decal shows some scratching and is present for about 80%. All three liner retaining rivets are intact. The interior of the helmet is a M31 leather liner with all eight fingers intact and the original liner cord is present, liner in size '55'. The shell is marked with maker and size 'ET62'. 'ET' is indicating production by the 'Eisen-und Hüttenwerke, AG' in Thale/Harz. The reverse interior neck guard apron has a stamped serial number '4375'. The helmet is complete with its original chinstrap. The helmet is named and unit marked with 'Johann Groh, 2.Kom, 6.Sch.5'. The helmet has been taken as a souvernir by a US Soldier and his name has been written in the liner multiple times as well: 'Larry Heaton'. The helmet is in nice original untouched condition. Extremely scarce original Waffen-SS M35 DD helmet!
