Waffen-SS M40 Camouflage Smock (Tarnjacke). This is an M40 type smock. The smock is showing a printed, reversible, Blurred Edge (Rauchtarnmuster) camouflage pattern, some parts of oakleaf have been used. The camouflage pattern has distinctly different colorations to the summer and autumn sides. The smock was closed by a cloth closure tie string, the tie string is regrettably not present. The elastic elastic around the waistline and the tunnel looped elastics at each cuff are in good functional condition. The smock has no visible manufacturer’s or size markings. The smock is showing some minor traces of usage, there is a small damage to one sleeve and some minor staining to the smock, take a look at the photos for more details. The smocks were designed large enough to fit over the standard field uniform, so it will fit a mannequin easily. Hard to find original M40 type Waffen-SS Camouflage Smock (Knittel). This smock will make a stunning Waffen-SS combat display!

This smock originates from the collection of the recently closed Eyewitness Museum and was in display in the diorama in the last picture!
