Case for an Iron Cross 1st Class with screw-back disc (Verleihungsetui zum Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse mit Schraubscheibe). On 1 September 1939 Hitler reinstituted the Iron Cross (First time in 1813). The first class medal was for award to personnel who performed three to five acts of bravery in combat, and had already been awarded the Iron Cross second class. This is a nice unmarked case for an Iron Cross 1st Class with screw back disc, this is a typical LDO type case for crosses of the company of 'Wächtler & Lange' from Mittweida. The empty case is in good used condition with some normal wear and small damages to the corners. Hard to find original case!
