Cased 'Haus der deutschen Kunst' Table Medal
Cased 'Haus der deutschen Kunst Grundsteinlegung 15.X.1933' Table Medal (Nichttragbare Plakette) from the estate of Adolf Hitler's personal pilot 'Hans Baur'. The ceremony for laying the foundation stone for the Munich House of Arts was quite a show. All kinds of plaques, coins, cards and other items were manufactured and sold or presented to VIPs in presentation form. This medal was awarded to Hitler's personal Pilot 'Hans Baur'. The medal is a bronze medal with a diameter of 50mm, the medal is nicely maker marked by the company of 'Deschler & Sohn' from Munich. The medal is complete with its matching box which is also marked by the firm 'Deschler & Sohn, München'. This medal originates from the estate of Adolf Hitler's personal pilot 'Hans Baur' and was found in 2005 during the house-cleaning of his house in Herrsching at the Ammersee after his wife died.
