Cased Police 18 Years Long Service Award (Polizei-Dienstauszeichnung mit Etui). On 30 January 1938, Hitler instituted a series of Long Service Awards to recognize loyal long service in the German Police. The award was originally issued in three classes with the first class award for twenty-five years service, the second class award for eighteen years service and the third class award for eight years service. This is a nice silver washed second class award for eighteen years service. The medal is complete with its original confectioned ribbon and green coloured case as found. The box has some useage and damage at the corners what is seen often on these boxes. Nice original medal in good condition!
