Description

Infantry Assault Badge in Bronze (Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Bronze). The Infantry Assault Badge in bronze was introduced on 1 June 1940 by Generaloberst 'Walther von Brauchitsch', for award to all ranks of Motorized Infantry units with the same criteria for award as the silver badge; participation in in three different assaults on three different days. The badge is executed in 'Feinzink' and still retains almost all of its original bronze finish showing stunning details. The pin and catch are complete and functional. The badge is nicely maker marked with 'JFS' indicitating production by the company 'Josef Feix & Söhne' in Gablonz an der Neiße. Nice original example in very good condition!
