Kriegsmarine Minesweeper War Badge (Kriegsabzeichen für Minensuch-, U-Boot-Jagd und Sicherungsverbände). The Minesweeper’s war badge was instituted on 31 August 1940 by Oberbefehlshaber der Kriegsmarine und Großadmiral 'Erich Raeder'. The badge is an early war tombak (Buntmetall) example, the badge is showing great detail and is showing a nice darkened age patina. The badge is nicely maker marked with 'R.K.' indicating production by the company of 'Rudolf A. Karneth & Söhne' from Gablonz an der Neiße. The badge is complete with its functional pin and catch. Nice original badge in good condition!
