Luftwaffe 'Erdkampfabzeichen'
WH (Luftwaffe) 'Erdkampfabzeichen' (Luftwaffe Ground Combat Badge). The Luftwaffe Ground Combat Badge was introduced by 'Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring' on 31 March 1942. For award to all Luftwaffe personnel who had distinguished themselves in ground combat. Certain criteria had to be met for award of the badge with the main criteria being three separate ground combat actions. This badge is a nice 'Zink' example, still showing strong finish, the badge is having a separate silver eagle attached, complete with all three rivets. The badge is nicely maker marked with 'M.u.K.5' which is indicating production by the company of 'Metall und Kunststoff' in Gablonz an der Neiße. The badge has naturally a functional pin & catch construction, this is the version with the wide-pin. Hard to find badge in stunning condition!
WH (Luftwaffe) 'Erdkampfabzeichen'. Het 'Erdkampfabzeichen' werd ingevoerd door 'Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring' op 31 maart 1942. De medaille werd uitgereikt aan al het Luftwaffe personeel dat zichzelf verdienstelijk had gemaakt in grondgevechten. Basis criteria waren dat er aan ten minste drie verschillende grond-acties deelgenomen moest zijn. Dit is een mooi 'Zink' exemplaar met nog een sterke finish, de medaille heeft een apart bevestigde Luftwaffe adelaar, compleet met alle drie de nietjes. De medaille is maker gemarkeerd met 'M.u.K.5' wat duid op productie door de firma 'Metall und Kunststoff' in Gablonz an der Neiße. Vanzelfsprekend heeft de medaille nog zijn volledig werkende originele naald en haak, dit is de versie met de brede naald. Moeilijk te vinden medaille in prachtige staat!
