Luftwaffe 'Day Fighter Clasp in Bronze (Frontflugspange für Jäger). The Day Fighter's Clasp was introduced by 'Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring' on 30 January 1941. The clasps were awarded in three grades of, Bronze for twenty operational flights, Silver for sixty operational flights, and Gold for one hundred ten operational flights. This badge is a nice early tombak (Buntmetall) example. The clasp is not visible maker marked, it can very likely be attributed to production by the company of 'C.E. Juncker' from Berlin. The clasp has naturally a functional pin & catch construction. The clasp still retains most of its original bronze finish showing great detail. Nice original day fighter clasp in very good condition!
