Police 8 Years Long Service Award (Polizei-Dienstauszeichnung). On 30 January 1938, Hitler instituted a series of Long Service Awards to recognize loyal long service in the German Police. The award was originally issued in three classes with the first class award for twenty-five years service, the second class award for eighteen years service and the third class award for eight years service. This is a nice silver washed third class award for eight years loyal service. The medal is complete with its original blue coloured confectioned ribbon. Nice example in good condition!
