Iron Cross 2nd Class (Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse). On 1 September 1939 Hitler reinstituted the Iron Cross (First time in 1813). The 2nd class cross was for award to personnel who performed a single act of bravery in combat. The cross has a three piece construction with an iron core, the cross does still have the neat so-called: 'Hochpolierte Kanten' and just shows some minor wear and great detail overall. There is some minor paint loss. The cross comes with its original 28cms long ribbon as found. The cross is maker marked with number '4' indicating production by the company of 'Steinhauer & Lück' from Lüdenscheid. Nice example in very good condition!
