WW2 Iron Cross 2nd Class '65' with Pouch
Description
Iron Cross 2nd Class (Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse), complete with its original ribbon and pouch of issue. On 1 September 1939 Hitler reinstituted the Iron Cross (First time in 1813). The 2nd class cross was for award to personnel who performed a single act of bravery in combat. The cross has a three piece construction with an iron core, the cross shows a nice darkened age patina and great detail overall. The cross comes with its original ribbon and matching pouch as found. The cross is maker marked with number '65' indicating production by the company of 'Klein & Quenzer AG' from Idar-Oberstein. The matching pouch is in used and slightly damaged condition, matching marked by 'Klein & Quenzer AG, Oberstein'. Nice original set in good used condition!
