WH (Heer) Tropical Officer's Belt & Buckle (Tropen Koppel mit Koppelschloß für Offiziere). With the impending German entrance into the North African campaign, tropical uniforms and equipment were quickly developed and issued in time for 'Deutsches Afrika Korps', this included canvas web construction belt & buckles. Later during the war these tropical belts were, due to leather shortages, issued in all theatres of battle. Nice olive/green painted zinc and aluminum construction buckle. The buckle comes on its original webbing tropical belt as found together. The 85 cms long green/khaki coloured webbing belt is nicely maker marked and dated 1943. Nice and scarce original tropical officer's belt & buckle in good condition!
