Rare Double Decal M34 Polizei 'Edelstahl' Helmet (Stahlhelm M34). These helmets were not designed for combat duty but for regular service. The stamped sheet steel construction M34 helmet retains most all of its early fieldgrey/green paint, the paint is showing scratches and normal traces of usage. Both decals are in very good condition with some minor damage and scratches caused by usage, both decals are retained for about 98%. All three liner retaining rivets are intact and showing the typical early colour. The interior of the helmet is an early pattern padded leather liner with a leather pad in the crown as added comfort, the liner is size '55' marked. The liner is complete with original liner-cord. The shell is maker marked with 'Thale Stahl'. The helmet is complete with its original black leather chinstrap. These M34 helmets in this condition are rarely seen and this is one of the best examples I've had on offer. Rare and hard to find original early Double Decal M34 Polizei helmet in very good, near mint, condition!
